SMART Lab Alumnus Dr. Chaoran Dou joined The University of Missouri at Columbia as an Assistant Professor in July 2025

Chaoran defended his dissertation entitled "Smart Process Design with Machine Learning for Defect Mitigation in Metal Additive Manufacturing" on 6/30/2025. He has joined the University of Missouri at Columbia, the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, as an assistant professor in July 2025.
